Elegoo to present new 3D printers and consumer-focused talks at Formnext | VoxelMatters - The heart of additive manufacturing
Shenzhen-based Elegoo, which specializes in affordable consumer 3D printers, is among the AM companies planning to roll out a suite of new products at the upcoming Formnext 2024 event. The company has revealed today that these 3D printing products will include an all-in-one LCD slicing software, an upgraded Saturn 4 Ultra resin system with a 16K screen, the Centauri Carbon extrusion 3D printer, and the Mercury Plus 3.0 wash and cure machine.
In addition to presenting these new products for the hobbyist and consumer 3D printing markets, Elegoo is also hosting a series of talks at its booth, including a discussion on 3D printed resin jewelry, a presentation on 3D printed miniatures and a women-led roundtable featuring Dutch fashion tech designer Anouk Wipprecht, multidisciplinary designer Tade Leye and modular fashion designer Brigitte Kock. Elegoo will also be officially announcing a Female Empowerment Program aimed at encouraging young girls and women to further embrace 3D printing.
Anouk Wipprecht, one of our favorite 3D printing fashion designers known for her cutting-edge garments, like the mind-controlled 3D printed ScreenDress, will also be unveiling a new dress design at the Elegoo booth on November 19 at 16h. The high-tech dress features a range of mechanical components made using Elegoo’s 3D printers.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the new products Elegoo is bringing to the German additive manufacturing expo. The software release is Elegoo’s first all-in-one LCD slicing software, which will simplify and streamline the 3D printing process for its resin platforms. Still on the resin side of its business, the company is launching the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, an upgraded version of its Saturn 4 Ultra platform (the existing model has a 12K screen). Other features include faster printing speeds, built-in Wifi and a tank heating system for superior print results in colder environments. For post-processing, the company is introducing the Mercury Plus 3.0 machine for washing and curing resin 3D prints, which can post-process parts as large as 135 x 230 x 260 mm.
On the extrusion side, Elegoo will be bringing the Centauri Carbon, which admittedly was unveiled earlier this year at RAPID + TCT 2024. The 3D printer is Elegoo’s first Core-XY system, which differs from more traditional cartesian 3D printers by relying on two stationary motors to respectively control the printhead’s X and Y axis movements on a horizontal plane. According to Elegoo, the Centauri Carbon was developed as an alternative to the Bambu Lab X1C and offers print precision, speed and reliability.
Formnext 2024 visitors will be able to see all these new consumer 3D printing releases and listen to a series of interesting talks at Elegoo’s booth, Hall 12.1-F01.
