New Stores Opening in Northern Virginia
These recently opened or soon-to-open shops carry everything from stylish clothing to artisanal goods.

New stores are opening across Northern Virginia, You will be able to spruce up your wardrobe or add some new art from these retailers that have recently opened or plan to open this summer. Here are seven new places to check out this summer.
The first Dior in NoVA is here. Tysons Galleria is the new home to one of the French fashion house's clothing boutiques. The 5,188-square-foot store is on the second floor near Neiman Marcus. It joins the ranks of other luxury stores at the mall, including Gucci, Versace, and Chanel. Shop everything from ready-to-wear fashion to bags and accessories at this timeless fashion house. 2001 International Dr., McLean
The Scandinavian furniture chain will open a couple of new stores in NoVA. IKEA this summer will open a 4,458-square-foot "plan-and-order" location in Fairfax Corner and a 5,012-square-foot store at Pentagon Centre. At the small, "plan and order" stores, you’ll be able to plan kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms, and have items delivered there or to your home. Aiming to bring IKEA closer to customers in city centers, the Pentagon City store will be easily accessible by Metro via the Yellow and Blue Lines. Downtown Leesburg welcomes a new hub for all your piercing and tattooing needs. The tattoo and body piercing shop has a full range of custom tattooing options, with a roster of four artists who do all styles of tattooing, from fine line to traditional. Old Town Alexandria now has a Frances Valentine boutique. The luxury brand has stores located in upscale neighborhoods across the country and has started expanding into the South. Summertime just a little more exciting for little ones. The new Lego Discovery Center opens this summer. Kids can hop aboard the Imagination Express and journey through an oversized Lego world, or participate in a Creativity Club and build exciting new creations. 6563 Springfield Town Center, Ste. 12004, Springfield
Support local artisans by shopping at The Woolley Fox, a new boutique in Middleburg. The business, owned by Pam Woolley and Natalie Fox, is dedicated to promoting handmade, artisanal goods made by local creators. The shop features a curated selection of rotating goodies such as paper crafts, fine painting and drawings, leatherwork, jewelry, ceramics, home goods, and more. 12 North Madison St., Middleburg
Pottery lovers in Ashburn won't have to wait much longer for CIY Pottery Studio, a new arts studio with state-of-the-art equipment that will be open to novices and experienced potters alike. Standing for "create it yourself," CIY Pottery Studio plans to offer classes and special events for other crafts such as wreath making and resin art.
